This exquisitely crafted & very rare antique salad plate by New Hall Porcelain Co., made around the year 1830, features one of the last patterns made by the company before becoming defunct in 1835. This incredibly scarce pattern — “#2901” — is thus highly collectible. Even more rare, though, is to find a New Hall piece that is in such great antique condition!
Hand-painted with soft pink cabbage roses & green leaves on a pale celadon ground, it’s lavishly decorated with raised gold paste scrolls, swags & floral motifs that give a rich, almost 3D effect. The scalloped rim & central medallion are both fully gilded, but the rim is very obviously the more heavily gilded of the two.
Despite its incredible age, the gilding shows only light wear – some minor rubbing that result in very few tiny losses that add to its authenticity, with no cracks or restorations.
The diameter of the plate is approximately 7.5-inches. A beautifully feminine Regency-era piece, one that is perfect for display & highly sought by collectors of rare, early English porcelain & antique English bone china.
This stunning survivor of the Regency-era of history will be carefully packaged & shipped immediately after purchase.

There are no chips, cracks, nor have there been any restorations or repairs to this piece since it was first crafted in 1830. A very well preserved piece, especially when compared to other pieces from the same period. less
