Sferra's work has been described as "organized chaos" and this canvas with its explosion of elements and shouts of red certainly matches that description. The artist has limited his palette to black, white, red and blue but that in no way confines the energy and dynamism of the painting. Sferra used upholstery as his canvas which adds to the sense of spontaneity.
