Exceptional pair of 1950s side tables designed by Edward Wormley for Dunbar, featuring solid greige Carrara marble tops and sculptural diabolo-form bases. Each base is constructed from bundled vertical walnut slats joined by a central brass ring, creating one of Wormley’s most elegant and architectural silhouettes.
Both tables retain their original brass Dunbar manufacturer’s plaques, and each marble top is stamped on the underside:
“Casavan Carrara Marble
Producers Society
Carrara – Italy
Made in Italy.”
This pairing of Dunbar craftsmanship with Italian-sourced Carrara tops is rare and highly collectible.
