It is a classic from the Bon Bon collection, crafted by hand and produced from 1946-2005. Known for their colorful rounded shapes, pieces from the Bon Bon collection bring a joyous presence to any home. Examples of this designers work can be found at the Swedish National Museum.

Using the filigree glass decorative technique invented in Murano Italy, thin, purple opaque glass threads are embedded in the glass to produce a fine graphic design that continues into the yellow base. The purple/yellow pitcher with red handle (model 89065) is 10.6 inches tall and 5.5 inches wide, with a depth of 3.94 inches.

There is no mark on the base of the pitcher. For older Kosta Boda pieces by Kjell Engman, the absence of a mark can be a sign of a valuable antique as this was common with some of his older works. These pieces predated the modern marking convention, and are attributed to the artist/maker based on style and design, even if a mark is absent. See less
