The wide, rounded body is beautifully contrasted by a narrow flared neck edged in black, giving the form a balanced and sculptural silhouette.
Encircling the shoulder is a meticulously hand-painted band featuring stylized mesa and landscape-inspired geometry in shades of turquoise, green, copper, and sunset orange—colors traditionally associated with Ute Mountain Ute pottery and the natural landscapes of the Four Corners region.
The underside bears incised artisan markings, consistent with late-20th-century Ute Mountain Ute studio pottery (circa 1980s–1990s). The glossy white glaze shows natural, age-appropriate craquelure that enhances the authenticity and character of the piece.
