Pilgrim Glass Company Hand Blown Amethyst Crackle Glass - Ruffled / Crimped Edge
Pilgrim Art Glass was founded in 1949 in West Virginia USA. The ponytail mark or punt mark on the bottom, was broken from a work of blown glass. It was smoothed over before they achieved the crackle effect by immersing the glass into cold water and then reheating it. Handcrafted so no two are alike. Condition: As New, No Chips, Scratches, Cracks or Crazing, no Repairs. See photos for measurements. Pilgrim Glass closed on April 1, 2002, when the plant that was owned by 86 yr. old New York City resident Alfred Knobler who wanted to retire and could not find a buyer.
