Wonderful portrait of young lady in conte crayon by Italian artist Armando Marchergiani. Born in 1902 in San Bernedeto del Trionto , Italy.
Armando was commissioned in 1925 to paint fresco murals at St Joseph Roman Catholic Cathedral in downtown San Jose, California. He returned to Italy for a short period of time and returned in 1927 to continue work in other mission churches in Northern California. His works were documented in the San Jose Mercury News, October 31, 1967
Highly detailed portrait of young lady is presented in white matting, thin gilt gold frame under glass. Signed and Dated 1923 at the bottom of portrait.
