The Modernist style demitasse espresso cups & saucers are designed by Architectural Pottery legend LaGardo Tackett, made in Japan in The Mid Twentieth Century of porcelain by Schmid. The 12 piece set includes 6 handled cups and 6 matching saucers in a gorgeous vibrant multicolor Mid Century Modern palette.
Anyone familiar with the " Case Study Houses " project from The Mid Twentieth century has seen the work of LaGardo Tacket ( 1911 - 1984 ) displayed on most of the featured homes patios. His oversized pots, simply known as " Architectural Pottery ", stood as planters and totems at the edges of pools, in courtyards, and in gardens. Ceramics collectors covet the porcelain tableware in his signature vibrant Modernist color tones.
