Sculpture done in plaster in the 1940s, presumably in a life study class with a live model. This was done during Tony’s time at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts. It is painted a very dark grey.
Good vintage/ antique condition, commensurate with age. There are some small areas of paint missing, see detailed photos. Dimensions are approximate, due to irregular shape of sculpture. This piece photographed quite well, looks bold and striking in a white or neutral space which shows off the form of the figure.
