Probably French, this … Read more Here is a fabulous Victorian slipper chair originally owned by actress Janis Paige, and bought at auction. Probably French, this dark wood (walnut?) chair has elaborate carving details around the top, curved legs and arms -- much more detail than we are used to seeing on a slipper chair of this era. See photos of the fabric it had before I restored it, and the new gorgeous linen by British designer Susan Deliss in a rose pink pomegranate pattern that I had it reupholstered with. Work was also done to the seat springs to make the chair much more comfortable; it is now in ideal vintage condition, and ready for a new use in a bedroom, boudoir or library, as a statement piece.
