Louis XVI style marquetry Bureau De Dame, has a raised back gallery with marble top center and 2 tiered concave drawers either side coming from back to front; the tooled green leather writing surface pulls forward; serpentine valance with drawer, supported by slender cabriole legs, diamond parquetry on side and back panels and front with ormolu mounts and decoration, and 2 keys - 39-1/2" high, 30" wide. 21" deep - circa Third Empire, 1870. 1990 appraisal by Jane West - $6,500.
