Black Lacquer Table Screen 24h x 21.5w x 1.5d
This particular table screen is of the multi-panel construction style which is found in a lot of the earlier cabinets coming out from Shanxi. The mitered struts connecting the different parts have sharp edges. The openings are in the shape of begonia. A stone which has grain pattern resembling natural landscape is placed in the middle.
The base of this screen is 10.75 inches deep while the stone and frame is 1.5 inches in depth.
Wood: Yu Origin: Shanxi Period: 18th C.
