Vintage art studio sculptural floor vase dating to the 1970s. It is artist signed on the side, Celeste, created by Celeste Simon.
This vase has significant size, measuring: 23" in height x 14" x 10". And it weighs just over 20 lbs.
It is completely handcrafted and sculpted. It is a study in contrast with the two glossy faces emerging from either side of the rough dark matte cocoon of the vase. The faces are very similar, if not identical, but the piece is not exactly symmetrical. One face is slightly higher than the other.
