This distinguished Oushak rug showcases the refined weaving traditions of Turkey's Western region, measuring 6'11" x 9'11". Constructed through hand-weaving techniques using wool on a wool foundation, the piece reflects centuries of Anatolian textile expertise. The villages dotting the plateau each developed their own signature design language and color sensibilities, creating works that remained distinctly individual within the broader regional tradition. Celebrated throughout European artistic circles, these vintage textiles gained prominence for their elegant geometric compositions and nuanced tonal ranges—qualities that continue to appeal to discerning interior professionals seeking pieces with historical significance and timeless design appeal.
