After Missiaglia, this Italian silver plate salt shaker and pepper mill set is in the form of artichokes. Each piece is solid and heavy. The Salt Shaker features a leaf piece that unscrews to allow the neck of the artichoke to be removed for salt replacement. The Pepper Mill features a leaf that can unsnap to replace the pepper corns. Includes the original Neiman Marcus box and the instructions for filling each piece.
The Pepper Mill is approximately 7.5" tall and has a small snail shell on its stem. The leaf opens for filling the 2.25" wide artichoke with peppercorns. Stainless steel is marked where the pepper is dispensed.

The salt shaker is 7.25" tall. The shaker features a long leaf that props the shaker when laid on its side. The stem of this artichoke rotates to open for filling. Beautifully crafted in the style of Missiaglia.
