It opens with a central drawer at the front and another at the back. It also has two side drawer pulls, each with brass knobs. These pulls are lined with tan leather and highlighted with a gilt vignette.
the projecting top is made of white carrara marble with subtle gray veining. It is surrounded by an elegant openwork gallery of gilt brass.

the base consists of four tapered and fluted legs, adorned with fluted brass plaques at the top and sabots at the bottom.
