The … Read more Luxury Marghab (Madeira, Portugal) pale peach Irish linen hand towel exquisitely hand embroidered by the finest embroiderers in Madeira. The pattern is Jacaranda Tree and depicts a majestic tree worked in tiny peach satin stitch embroidered flowers on a satin stitched taupe tree and branches. The trunk is filled with micro stitches to give it a rough bark-like appearance. Tiny peach embroidered petals drop from the tree and settle on the ground. Each fallen petal has a corresponding flower still on the tree but with missing petals. This illustrates the thoughtful artistic detail seen on Marghab linens. The top edge of the towel is worked in the tiniest satin stitch in taupe and the bottom edge is worked in a taupe linen appliqué stitched on with a tiny satin stitch. The sides are hand hemmed. Dimensions are 20” x 14.”

It was very hard to photograph the correct color of this towel. Most images are washed out or too warm. The linen is a soft peach and the cotton embroidery is a soft taupe and medium shade of peach. See less
