This 20th Century three-panel wooden screen stands out for its hand-painted gold surface. Varying in application, the gold paint scintillates in rich, painterly washes that call to mind Abstract-Expressionist canvases. Structurally, the panels are attached by hinges and framed by a simple moulding.
