Normally you don't find a flat piece with the whole world on it, normally they are two maps. Gerard Mercator maps go back as far as 1569, which was highly used for navigation and many still use it today. This Mercator map is 58" wide by 33" high by 3" deep including the hanging mechanisam. I found this brilliant piece of art hanging in an antique store and purchased it in Los Angeles, CA. See less
