Spanish artist Antoni Vives Fierro (1940-2024) settled in Paris in 1961 and in 1962 he exhibited for the first time in Cartagena. He exhibited in London, Geneva, Düsseldorf, Paris, Montevideo, Athens, New York, Havana, Bayreuth, Barcelona, ​​Madrid and other places in Catalonia. He was a versatile painter, using different techniques in his paintings, although in recent years he had opted for oil collage. He had a figurative style with post-Impressionism of urban or suburban themes.
He also made important graphic work, which highlights the production of commercial and commemorative posters. His work has been acknowledged with different awards, such as the gold medal and the Girona prize for painting (1979), the Ricard Canals de pintura awards (1980) and Clau de Barcelona (1998).
