Circa 1930 Tabriz rug. hand woven wool on cotton foundation,The central field has a cream or light beige ground adorned with intricate floral motifs- symetrical stylized lotus blossoms, palmettes and curling vines, Motifs are drawn is rust-red, navy blue and sky blue with small touches of green and ivory to create visual depth.. The rug features a triple border system a wide main border and two narrow guard borders framing it.
