Created in Burma, each of this … Read more A pair of Burmese bronze sculptures of kneeling Buddhist disciples from the 20th century. Created in Burma, each of this pair of lost wax bronze statues depicts two disciples of Buddha (possibly Sariputta and Moggallana) in a kneeling meditative position. One of them holding his hands together in a prayerful attitude with his eyes closed while the other is resting his hands on the side of his knees, his eyes semi open, the statues showcase the long ears of the Buddha as well as monastic clothes.

Each raised on a small base, these Burmese lost wax bronze sculptures of Buddhist disciples will be excellent decorative additions to any home, whether placed in a living room, foyer or bedroom. See less
