This monumental late-19th-century American Empire Revival hall mirror commands attention with its architectural presence, solid mahogany construction, and hand-carved details.
Standing nearly floor-to-ceiling, the mirror features:
Full Corinthian carved front columns
Massive carved lion-paw feet
Original shaped cornice molding
Brass coat/hat hooks on each side
Deep display shelf along the bottom edge
A true Victorian interpretation of the earlier American Empire style (c. 1880–1900), this piece blends classicism with opulence. The scale and craftsmanship are exceptional—perfect for a grand entry, boutique showroom, or dramatic dressing space.
The mirror retains its original thick plate glass with natural silvering and light age character, consistent with a piece of this era. The mahogany finish is warm and rich, with minor expected wear.
