…. A stunning pair of 1960s cups, saucers, and spoon rests in Bing & Grøndahl's iconic Seagull pattern—Denmark's most beloved porcelain design of the 20th century.
Designed by Fanny Garde in 1892, the Seagull pattern features delicate hand-painted seagulls in flight against soft blue gradients with signature sea horse handles and scale-patterned edges. So popular from the 1950s-1980s that it was known as the "National Service of Denmark," appearing in one of every ten Danish households.
About B&G: Founded in 1853 in Copenhagen, Bing & Grøndahl merged with Royal Copenhagen in 1987. The Seagull pattern was produced continuously until 2011, making vintage pieces increasingly collectible.
