The final print of the series, "Story For the Eleventh Hour" by Beth Ames Swartz. This print is the artist proof, signed, and titled by the artist.
“A Story for the Eleventh Hour,” a myth for the healing of our planet, was originally a set of 15 paintings on display at the E.M. Donahue Gallery in New York City in 1994. This print series is the result of a Rockefeller Family Fund Grant based on the original paintings. The prints tell the story of humanity solving our ecological and human problems. The sixth print, “Shantih, shantih, shantih,” depicts the Buddha receding in importance because all sentient beings are enlightened.
This was professionally framed in a red frame with matting. The Colophon for the series is attached on the back.
