A Very Nice Antique Orange Flame Grain Paint Decorated Blanket Chest, Pennsylvania, Circa 1840’s

Circa 1840-1850’s
A very nice paint decorations, striking flame grain, with interesting ogee picture frame moulding around the front and sides of the case. Nicely turned bun style feet.
Fully dovetailed case, made from pine wood, with a walnut wood till on the inside.
Size: 49 1/2” wide, 22 1/4” deep, and 25” tall
Condition: 100% original as found condition. Wonderful patina, and warm colour. Lots of use and wear marks associated with age/use. Scuffs and dings and paint loss are consistent with age and use.
