It features the portrait of Sun Yat-sen and historical ROC flags on the top and marks on the bottom.
The main portrait is that of Sun Yat-sen (Sun Zhongshan), widely considered the "Father of Modern China".
It is featuring significant historical symbols and a key figure from the founding of the Republic of China.
The imagery on the box is associated with the period following the overthrow of the Qing Dynasty in 1911 and the establishment of the Republic of China. These kind of boxes were often created as patriotic souvenirs during the Republic period, particularly in the 192å0s-1940s, as ink boxes.
