WONDERFUL WROUGHT IRON DOUBLE BETTY LAMP
18TH / EARLY 19TH CENTURY

About 3 1/2" x 6 1/2" x12" high, counting the hanging hook
DESCRIPTION
Double font hanging betty lamp or crusie. Entirely hand made by the local blacksmith. Decorative twisted iron hanging hook. Used to burn whale oil, tallow, animal fat, etc.
CONDITION
Overall excellent. Great old blackened surface. Still retains some residue in the upper font (all visible in the images). A DELIGHTFUL EARLY AMERICAN PRIMITIVE LIGHTING DEVICE.
