Born in France during the politically dynamic 19th century, this exquisite painting features a lovely bouquet of pink, red and yellow roses displayed in a copper-hued vase, surrounded by cut roses casually left on a tabletop. A couple of white petals adorn the left side of the composition while a delicate decorative box accentuates the right side. The ensemble is perfectly highlighted by the dark hue of the background.
