I believe this to be maple or oak wood, inspired by bamboo design. Its compact folding frame is easily portable. The slight curves on the front and back of the frame, along with the rolled rounded spindles and legs, are beautifully paired with the flat slats on the top. This was made in the former Yugoslavia and is signed. Simple and natural design that functions well and is very sturdy.
The last picture showcases a beautiful “Indian Mughal Antique Hand-Painted Octagonal Box” displayed on top of the stool. This pairs well and it is sold separately on my listings.
