“Dream with Open Eyes” unfolds like a playful gathering between dream-figures caught mid-conversation. Three elongated characters stand side by side, each with a distinct personality conveyed through color and gesture. The tall central figure, dressed in bright blue and yellow, acts almost like the anchor of the scene, its posture calm yet curious. To the left, a slender white figure leans inward with tender hands and soft, fluid lines, bringing a sense of gentleness. On the right, a character wrapped in black and blue swirls introduces movement and rhythm, as if offering a musical counterpoint.
In the lower corner, a burst of organic shapes—red, yellow, and pink—erupts like a joyful floral explosion, tying the figures together with a shared pulse of energy. Floating shapes drift above them, including a delicate leaflike form, adding an airy, symbolic touch. The entire composition feels like a moment suspended between imagination and reality, a place where emotions speak through lines, shapes, and colors rather than words.
I love this drawing because it captures the feeling of being fully awake and simultaneously dreaming. Each character seems to reveal a different emotional layer—softness, curiosity, humor, and wonder. The playful bursts of color, the swirling patterns, and the unexpected hand gestures bring a sense of magic that feels deeply personal to me. It’s a small piece, yet it carries a whole world of movement and tenderness, and every time I look at it, it makes me smile.
