This bronze horse is from the early 1970's and I was lucky enough to have found it just as it was being placed out for sale. I put it on the digital scale and it weighs 15.4 lbs! I found it on La Brea Ave in Los Angeles, CA at one of my favorite antique stores. Depicting a striking replica of the Marley Horse, after Guillaume Coustou. This is the most copied horse sculpture in the history of the bronze horses , because the detailing is so exquisite. It is cast with muscle definition, and the patina is a rich warm tone. The original was created in the 1850's. See less
