Make a statement with this pair of super rad (and rare) Ames Aire Swivel Arm Chairs in orange and bronze.
From a vintage Ames Aire ad: “Here is luxurious comfort in fine patio furniture. The heavy duty tubular steel frames are protected by a special zinc coating for longer wear. The resilient vinyl cord cradles you in comfort-will not sag, fade or become brittle; it gives when you sit and resumes its original shape when you get up.”
Truly comfy (and cool), these chairs are from my grandfather’s orange collection (his favorite color) and have been mostly inside since their purchase in the 1960’s. They are in very good condition, but they do have a bit of rusting on the feet and the coating has worn off on the corners of both chairs where the swivel caused them to rub on walls. The Ames Aire label is missing on one of the chairs but you can see where it was in the same spot on the other chair. Vinyl cording is still very sturdy. The steel frames are in excellent overall condition. Both chairs swivel well.
