Antique Persian Allover Floral Hand Knotted Pile Hallway Runner Rug, Country of Origin: Persia, Circa Date: 1920s. This exquisite piece represents the zenith of Persian weaving traditions from the early 20th century, showcasing the sophisticated artistry achieved by master weavers in the region.

The deep indigo field provides a dramatic canvas for the intricate, curvilinear vine work. The structure features an allover design, where blossoms, palmettes, and serrated leaves repeat seamlessly without a central medallion, creating a sense of infinite depth and movement across the pile.

Its unusually long and narrow dimensions classify this textile as a hallway runner (4.08ft x 15.02ft), perfectly suited to anchor grand transitional spaces or long galleries. The robust wool pile ensures durability while maintaining a luxurious, soft texture underfoot, characteristic of rugs woven for domestic use.

The palette is refined, featuring subtle tones of terracotta, dusty rose, and pale blue, which have softened beautifully over the decades. This highly collectible textile is a prime example of exceptional antique rugs that retain their structural integrity and historical charm a century after their creation. See less
