Desk is made of maple with pine secondary wood. Just in time to celebrate our upcoming birthday! This desk was here for the birth of our nation! Nice interior with several drawers and cubbyholes.. Desk is in very fine restored condition. Desk was refinished years ago in a nice warm color. The brass drawer pulls are historically correct but are replaced. The hinges on the lid have also been replaced which is fairly common on these desks. There is a minor repair to the back of the right rear foot. As you can see in the last 2 photos the lid is slightly warped so it doesnt close tight. This actually makes it easier to open. There was a brass plate added to the edge of the top where the lock would fit into as can be seen in the last photo. Nice desk with good proportions. Desk is 38" wide and stands 42 1/2" tall and is 19" deep. The writing height is 31". See less
