These chairs look great! They are made from solid wood (I believe mahogany) and have such a beautiful, statement, geometric backrest design. The smaller carvings look like bamboo, while the whole is reminiscent of antique Asian textile motifs. Also, notice the shape of the back - it's not just a simple square, but has a refined, angled shape that adds to the craftsmanship of these chairs. The caned seats are in excellent condition - no flaws - and there is small carved, border detail around the front legs. See less
