Mr. Bernstein began his career … Read more Fascinating mixed metal and pearl cuff bracelet by artist, sculptor and jewelry designer, Martin Bernstein. Mr. Bernstein began his career in the 1970's primarily as a painter and soon evolved into mixed media works by incorporating jeweled objects into his abstract pieces. It seemed only natural that the sculptures morphed into wearable art and his career as a jewelry designer began with an eye catching array of bracelets, earrings and necklaces that are each one-of-a-kind. This cuff bracelet starts with a silver metal base marked to the interior 'Hecho en Mexico' and finishes with a creative mosaic of metals including 14K gold, brass and copper chains with Tahitian natural pearls and a single red garnet peeking through. The bracelet takes on the appearance of treasure that has been lost at the bottom of the sea ... we'll call it Pirate's booty! It is difficult to read but Bernstein's signature is etched to the interior. A unique and wonderful creation...truly wearable art.

The bracelet is perfectly imperfect by design though there are touches of verdigris primarily visible in photographs 6 and 7. No original packaging.

Overall, the bracelet measures 3.5" wide x 2.75" deep x 1.38" tall. The circumference on the inside measures 6.75" and the circumference on the front side measures 10.63". It is very chunky and is probably not suitable for small wrists. It can be worn on the outside of a sleeve and then might possibly work for a small wrist. See less
