Pellegatta … Read more This set of twelve (12) original mid 20th century botanical watercolors by listed Italian-American artist, Ettore Pellegatta (Italy/USA 1881-1966). Pellegatta anglicized his name to "E. Pell" and that is how he signed these watercolors. He turned to painting when physical problems interfered with his sculptural works. Please view our other listings of these charming, diminutive watercolors by E. Pell. We acquired the complete collection. He created these after retiring from sculpting. To our knowledge this is the first time his paintings have have appeared on the open market. Pellegatta sculpted many large scale works in Miami as well as the lions at the N.Y. Public Library.
