Wool Ivory Beige Cream White Floral Antique Rectangle Large 1920s Hand Knotted Pile Rug, Circa Date: 1920s. This exceptional example of early 20th-century weaving represents the pinnacle of Chinese Art Deco design, blending traditional motifs with a modern, open aesthetic favored in the West. It is a stunning addition to our curated collection of antique rugs.

The expansive field utilizes a sophisticated, shifting palette of ivory Beige Cream White tones, providing a luminous backdrop for the intricate botanical imagery. This subtle coloration allows the vibrant accents of the design—rendered in deep blues, soft pinks, and emerald greens—to truly flourish without overwhelming the composition.

Hand-knotted from luxurious wool, the pile exhibits a soft sheen that captures light beautifully, enhancing the dimensionality of the sweeping branches and blossoms. Given its impressive scale, this large format piece is ideally suited to anchor a grand living space or formal dining room, offering both historical depth and contemporary elegance.

The design features a breathtaking display of naturalistic elements, including delicate birds perched among winding vines and colorful, stylized blossoms. These exquisite floral rugs patterns frame the central field and define the perimeter with unparalleled grace, confirming its status as a masterpiece of the Art Deco era's restrained luxury. See less
