Returning to Hungary, Kunffy exhibited at the National Salon in 1924 and became vice president of the Fine Arts Association. He exhibited independently in Kaposvár in 1949 and 1952, and with Oszkár Glatz at the Ernst Museum in Budapest in 1953. A solo exhibition at the Rippl-Rónai Museum followed in 1956, and his final major exhibition was mounted at the Ernst Museum in 1960.
