This antique table from Sweden has a round-shaped top which rests upon a triangular apron, and features the ability to convert to a half moon, demi-shaped console with the assistance of a gate-leg that moves from a corner, to center underside of table, allowing half of the top to drop down along one side of the table. This piece is raised upon four nicely turned legs. The painted finish (which is early, but not original) is in a light beige color with areas of mint green and wood showing through from beneath. The table is approximately 4 feet in diameter when fully open, and 24.5 inches deep when top is dropped. This 19th century Swedish drop leaf table would work well as a console, that doubles as impromptu dining or card table when needed. See less
