Striking sang de boeuf–glazed cylinder vase with a thick, oxblood red glaze that pools to deeper tone at the foot and breaks to olive at the mouth. The form is simple and elegant, allowing the glaze to take center stage. A handsome decorative object with strong presence around ten inches tall.

Dating and background information
Republic Period, circa 1935. The vase displays key hallmarks of desirable early 20th‑century Chinese copper‑red work: a saturated oxblood field with orange‑peel surface, an olive‑green halo and thinning at the lip, and a distinct oxidation ring at the foot from firing chemistry.
