Original monochrome lithograph titled "Twelve Men" by Arthur B.Davies. The composition features twelve standing nude male figures surrounding a single clothed figure at center, rendered with expressive black ink wash and confident, gestural linework. The arrangement creates a sense of rhythm and movement, with overlapping forms that emphasize balance and unity. Davies's use of varying tonal density brings depth and texture to each figure while maintaining a minimalist, fluid aesthetic.
The piece bears a printed signature “Arthur B. Davies" at the lower right and the title "Twelve Men" handwritten in pencil at the bottom center. The lower left corner includes a handwritten notation reading "84 / E H160", and the reverse is inscribed "H160 Twelve Men 50" in pencil.Printed on cream-colored paper, this work shows minor toning and light edge wear consistent with age, including a small tear at the lower left corner.
