This elegant and colorful set includes 6 plates / saucers and 6 matching cups / glasses. If you look closely the plates are each marked "DURALEX" and "MADE IN FRANCE" and are numbered. The glass itself is crystal clear and was hand painted in France with beautiful designs. The rims of both the plates and cups have been painted a light, subtle yellow to symbolize sunshines. And the plates and cups both have raised relief lovely floral motifs and geometric motifs which appear to be made in a stained glass technique. When the sun or lighting hits - this set is breathtaking! It would make for a perfect addition to your mid century, retro, French, or modern dining area.

Duralex is a French tempered glass tableware and kitchenware manufacturer located in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin in Loiret. They were founded in 1945 and are known for using a technique developed in the 1930s by Saint-Gobain, molded glass is heated to 600 degrees Celsius, then cooled very quickly, giving it an impact resistance twice superior to normal glass.
