These early 20th-century clear glass battery oil bottles were produced for the Thomas A. Edison Industries storage battery division in Bloomfield, NJ. Each bottle is about 4" tall and features raised lettering that reads “Edison Battery Oil Made in USA Thomas A Edison Incorporated Bloomfield NJ USA*. Once used to hold electrolyte oil for Edison nickel-iron batteries, they now serve as collectible pieces of American industrial history. Popular with decorators for rustic shelving, laboratory-style vignettes, bud vases or historical display groupings. NOTE: These are reclaimed new old stock and have not been filled with chemical contents.
