The sculpture exhibits a deep brown patina with subtle green oxidation and crisply defined surface modeling.

The work is characteristic of Continental bronze production between 1890 and 1920, when ateliers in Paris and Brussels issued small-scale bronzes representing allegorical or Orientalist female figures.
