The artist can plan and design, but there is always the unknown and chance that combine to create the final piece of art and, of course, makes each one completely unique.

James R. Wilbat is a talented glass artist. His work has been seen in museums and juried art shows. The color and composition in his pieces are highly influenced by his love for Abstract Expressionist painting.

In this piece, on one side against a white background, blue and red swirls of color are embellished with a petal shaped spots and design elements that evoke flowers in spring time. On the opposite side, whites, yellows and purples are embellished by decoration including two lovely pieces of delicately swirled glass cane embedded within. The piece is also enhanced by a soft spray of air bubbles trapped in the glass.

Attractive in all situations, the piece truly comes alive in light as it reflects the colors within, the colors in the vicinity and the sunlight itself in its undulating curves. A lovely addition to your décor.
