This stylish piece has fantastic details throughout; including the original condition pull out drawer with solid oak drawer interiors, the solid mahogany turned pillars with hand carved, gold colored details and the pilasters decorated in gold and black. This console represents the finest in American craftsmanship.

Kittinger furniture company of Buffalo NY has been around since 1866 and they are well known for having furnished spaces such as the White House in Washington, DC. Kittinger is still in business today and their master cabinet makers do an outstanding job of combining finely veneered panels with attractive mahogany solid woods in all of their pieces. The half round (demi lune) shape of the console makes it easy to walk around when placed against the wall, the base lends support and an area for displaying objects out of the way from foot traffic. The drawer has applied solid brass decorations as do the tops of the columns.

Everything on this console is in original, as found, condition with the exception of some minor restoration to the top. Look closely at the detail pictures and you will see some knicks along the base of the cabinet which can only be expected in a piece with this age. The top was in very good condition as it has a cut piece of glass cut to fit the exact shape of the top and is included in the price of the Kittinger Mahogany Console with Columns. Console includes original paper and brass furniture labels. This Console is fresh to the market, having been purchased directly form Kittinger and remaining in one family until being offered here.

Measures 36″ wide x 20″ deep x 32″ high

As with all Vintage and used pieces of furniture there will be some small signs of wear and tear but overall this item is in excellent original condition.
