20th Century Watercolor Painting Attributed to Yervand Nahapetian (1916-2006)
The artwork features the central dome of the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, known for its exquisite blue and turquoise tilework and intricate geometric and floral patterns. The dome is the focal point, with a pair of smaller minarets visible on the left. The foreground features a tree with autumn foliage, which adds a seasonal contrast to the historic architecture.
The Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a masterpiece of Safavid-era Iranian architecture. It is located on the eastern side of Naqsh-e Jahan Square in Isfahan, Iran.
