The lamp features … Read more This fanciful cherub with lyre, set against a double cornucopia of flowers, is truly beautiful to behold. The lamp features a smoked glass globe that adds a soft glow to the light. This piece is made in Italy and there is a golden sticker on the base which we are unable to associate with a particular maker. The underside is signed. This piece is in good vintage condition. We can see there is a repair to the lyre. It looks correct from the front, but if you look at the backside of the lyre (see picture) you can tell it was reattached. We noted one small chip in one of the flower leaves (see picture) and with so many turns, twists and colors, there is the possibility of one or two more we missed. The light functions properly. The smoked glass globe has a small chip in the base, see photograph next to the light source, but this is not noticeable when the globe is in place. This piece is in good vintage condition. We can see there is a repair to the lyre. It looks correct from the front, but if you look at the backside of the lyre (see picture) you can tell it was reattached.
